Subsistence Gameplay Information:

Subsistence is a multiplayer (and single player), sandbox, first person, open-world survival game. Struggle to build a base and gear-up in the hostile environment. Team up with other players to protect your base, attack others, or ally with neighbouring factions. Progress your base technology for advanced item crafting and upgrades.

The aim is to integrate the kinds of base-resource micro-management typically found in RTS titles, into a boots-on-the-ground shooter. Each base has an underlying economy of power and raw materials that must be maintained and expanded in order to rise in dominance.

The focus is not of primitive survival (although there are many elements during the early-game), but instead a focus on the base, its security, technology and resources.
Subsistence Gameplay Features:
* Multiplayer (and singleplayer) open-world (up to 64 players).
* Item crafting mechanics.
* World day-night cycle.
* Temperature change based on time-of-day and altitude.
* Character hunger/thirst/strength mechanics.
* Character clothing system.
* Food cooking mechanics.
* Dynamic base building.
* Weapon upgrade system.
* System for inviting/removing players to access bases.
* Central power system for bases (base items require power to function).

    You probably know this but if you cook the water before you put on plants it raises the bar higher than dirty water.

    Just go kill cougars! 2 shotgun blasts and they're dead. You don't even need armor. They aren't that rare. I find two Everytime I go looking.

    i seen others use the pick axe to smash the door. it does a lil bit more damage than the regular axe. also seen people use the shot gun but super expensive

    hold the V button and try moving around the camera. some games holding the perspective changing button and moving the camera around allows you to look at your character from all angles.

    Ok… pick axe does 2 damage to hunter doors per hit and the ax does 1 per hit. Both take about 5-6min to bust open. 🤙

    later in the game arrows are cheap and do about 10 points damage on the doors. mix it up with pick ax. still takes a lot of time but a little better.

    Hi Kage,

    Nice video as usual.

    1- Yes you can use the axe or the pickaxe (which is better) to destroy hunter base door.
    2- with this gear you have you can kill a cougar with at least 2 shotgun shells and you will get from 5 to 7 sinew (Keep with you 2 medical + 2 bandage + 1 splint).
    3- Yes raid the hunter (give them another 2 to 3 game day time) they will have sinew at least 6 pieces, ores, if you lucky one solar panel, grenade, ….

    good luck 🙂

    Loving this! a great thing i like about this channel is the fact you reply to your viewers and fans!

    EDIT: i have an idea for Hunters and Rogues. so they aren't so OP with every weapon imaginable, they have a ranking system for a more realistic approach. Level one being just bows and arrows and melee tactics, Level 2 using the Pistols and having better clothing gear. Level 3 having the rifle, shotgun and also better clothing gear.

    taking it this way would also be better on looting as they could potentially drop weapons they use and being more consistent in the fighting mechanics. the realism is what i like about this game and it makes a logical sense that they have tiers.

    what are your thoughts ?
